It's hard to define what our first "proper" release was, seeing as we recorded so many bits and pieces over the years (beginning with a tape deck and bunch of rented mics in an abandoned aerodrome in 1988). This is probably as good a candidate as any, seeing as it's the first one with Stephen in the band, the first one we sold at gigs, and the first one that picked up any radio play

I think we might have recorded this in John's parents' house, and I'm pretty sure I (Cormac) mixed it in the flat I was living in Phibsboro. Mastered by some guy up north whose name escapes me now.
